Pat Robertson Is (Still) A Deslusional Douche

Ah. Well, thanks for explaining that, Pat. Via rawstory.
Televangelist Pat Robertson on Monday reviewed the case of a shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin that left at least seven dead and came to the conclusion that places of worship were being attacked because “people who are atheists, they hate God.”

Of course. The fact that the shooter seems to have been a white supremacist who had a tattoo of an obscure Christian-appropriated symbol notwithstanding.
Reports also indicated that Page had a number of tattoos, including one that said “9/11″ and a Celtic knot, which is commonly used a symbol of the Christian Holy Trinity. There is no evidence that Page was an atheist.

Here's something for poor demented old Pat from the King James Bible: "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?"

But here's something I found elsewhere for him.

oh ricky

Atheists don't crucify people, Ricky. Nor do we worship them. So get over yourself.
(on the other hand, this is a pretty clever pic.)

atheism in a nutshell

Sitting around watching you religious fuckers burn the world down is the best show in town. if only we could raise that kind of fervor against the true criminals who run things.

know your atheists

If you were confronted with an atheist (god forbid) in real life, how could you be certain of the danger you faced? Here's a handy graphic to commit to memory. Keep this in mind when you are out on the streets and surrounded by suspected atheists.

Happy non-denominational-winter-solsticish-probably-stolen-from-the-pagans-holiday, everyone!

atheist?

Here's a fun, yet pointed little cartoon pointing out the absurdity of the offhand judgments that are rendered against atheists. (via videosift)

As Richard Dawkins said, 'You're an atheist too. I've just taken it one god further.'

Indeed, it's interesting to think that monotheists describe it as a smug given of progress that over the centuries, we've whittled down the number of gods. From animists who believed in gods inhabiting every rock and rabbit and tree, to the polytheists worshiping their gods of thunder and of the seas, to theists it is an example of 'progress' that we are left with our Big Three with their unitary gods (or in the case of Christianity, its strange and contradictory belief in one god who also is his own son as well as a ghost of some sort, not to mention the virgin human mother of said son who rose physically to heaven upon her death, a decidedly god-like accomplishment.)

If only we could take this winnowing of gods down one more...
